Flashback Weekend

Well, I really dropped the ball this time. We had a super busy and fun weekend and I just didn't have time forgot to post a Flashback Friday. And, because I haven't been in my right mind in oh, say, about 16 months (+9), I brought the camera to the fun events we went to, however, I left the memory card right here on the computer desk, at home. So, no pictures of said fun events.

However, I will use this blunder as an opportunity to do an entire flashback weekend. See, the fun stuff we did this weekend, is all related to, or a repeat of, fun stuff we've done in the past that we DID get pictures of. So, here we go:

Friday night, we took Logan to the downtown square here in our town for the First Friday Street Dance. We did this back in May, right after we'd moved here.

Logan was about 10 months old in these pictures:

The lead singer in the band that was playing is my boss's boss. We went with some friends and sat in our folding camp chairs in the middle of the street, ate fried chicken from a box, had a couple of beers and chased Logan all over tarnation. He was a HIT with the crowd! That kid ran right up in front of the stage, and started dancing his cute little butt off! Everyone clapped for him, and the singer even thanked all the dancers, even the cute little Aggie! (yes, I threw his daddy a bone and dressed him in his Aggie sweatshirt - just this once. It's too small anyway, so - no more Aggie sweatshirt this season. Darn).

Saturday the three of us spent the morning garage-saling (this week's haul: golf clubs for Logan! 2 SETS!! Because, we don't know if he'll be right or left-handed [James is a right-handed golfer, I'm left - but only at golf and baseball], so would you believe the King found a set of each?!? Also a tiny skateboard, a helmet and kneepads! I found a book I've been wanting to read but got tired of the long waiting list at the library for it. I'm sure there was plenty more that I'm not remembering right now....)

Saturday afternoon, we took a hike waaaay down South to our friends Chris and Gary's house for Gary's 40th birthday party. Chris is my friend from high school. She started dating Gary about a month before James and I got married. She caught my bouquet at our wedding:

Gary caught James' garter:

They're engaged now! (Logan wasn't even a twinkle in our eyes in the above pictures, in case you were wondering)

They had a big bounce house at the party for all the kiddos. Logan was the smallest one there, but that didn't stop him - he's a little pro at this bounce house thing now!

Logan was 15 months old in these pictures:

After a couple hours, we headed back North to our old neighbors' house (aka: Gammy and Pa). They were having a Garounge get-together with the all the wonderful neighbors that we left behind when we moved. Again, Logan dazzled with the cuteness, but I'm sure that doesn't surprise you.
Logan was 2 months old in this picture:

Logan had been in my belly for about 6 months when this picture was taken:

Logan was 5 months old in this picture:

We were also happy to be able to hang out the with very nice, very newlywed couple that bought our old house - they happen to be expecting their first baby! It's cool (and bittersweet) to see them start their family in the same house we started our family in. Now don't we feel silly for painting the nursery back to a neutral color before putting the house on the market!

Today we had church, then lunch, then Logan and I left James alone to get some honey-do's done, and we headed through the rain down to visit my mom. He was so good and had so much fun with Mammaw and Uncle Skynny!

Logan was 9 months old in these pictures:

So, I'm very sorry for not having any new pictures of Logan, but I'll definitely get better at that. After months of nagging James to "order our new computer already!", we finally have our fancy new, blazing fast, fantastic photo storage/editing/etc. computer at home. So there should be no excuse for letting the blog slip... except maybe for that pesky lack of time thing... Ah, that's no excuse - I will get better. Promise!
